You want to know why they have so many penises around? Well, the story goes like this, there was once this young maiden who was collecting seaweeds but then died because of the high tides. Her husband (according to korea tourism site)/ boyfriend (according to other sites I read), wasnt able to save her. After her death, the place there was cursed, no fishing catch. I came to a clonclusion that she was an angry dead virgin who didnt had a chance to feel a shaft in her life, hence out of frustration she withhold the fishes:S After the villagers made penis rituals, which she obviously love, the fishes came back!
Btw, theres lots of types of penis there. Everything is made in the theme of penises including the fountain and the gong and all, maybe the lampost too? LOL
