It's Valentines soon! I bet many of you love birds out there are planning for some fun/ romantic outings!! One of my lucky friend who is currently planning for her Valentines day date asked me if I knew of any nice places in JB where they can hang out and be all lovey dovey lol. I give her a few suggestions but today I tried out this new cafe and thought that it would also be a nice place to date!

If Im not wrong this is a rather new cafe around here. Its call Maco cafe and bakery at Sutera Utama, JB. This area, as said in my previous blogs, is sprouting with lots of cafe like mushrooms after the rain.

Their opening hours are from12pm onwards till 1am (fri, sat), till 10pm (Sun- Thurs). I came early today at about 11.40am so we were lingering around the area. Took some pictures outside the shop. Check out their coffee beans deco in gunny bags.

At 10 minutes before 12pm, the shop people just started cleaning the cafe i.e. wiping bottles, tables etc. Waited till 12.10pm the sign was still "closed", one of the shop people came out to sweep the floor. Mum got impatient and asked if they were open LOL Quickly, we were seated.

The place was nice. Maybe we were early so it was quiet and peaceful, clean and new. Very suitable for Valentines, HAHA Im all about Valentines though I won't be celebrating it:( They even had coffee beans on the tables as deco! Pretty.

Self made posters hung on the wall. Behind us was this plain wall with an artistic shot of a tree. Nice!

Currently they are having Valentines Day special!

We ordered Valentines Day set B, RM58 which consist of 2 drinks, 2 mains and 2 milli crepe cakes.

This would be the very pretty Caramel Machiato, RM8.90. It was served with a thinly falked biscotti. Im not a big fan of coffee but I do think that Starbucks' Caramel Machiato taste better.

Foam was fluffy!

They served us with iced water even though we didnt order them and they were FREE! Free is good, even if it is just ice water because even the mamak charge you RM0.30- RM0.50 for water.

One of the attraction there would definately be their flavoured coffee! I have never seen so many types of flavored coffee before and it did make me very excited by just looking at the menu LOL This would be the Strawberry Cafe Latte, about RM8.

The strawberry did add a touch to the colour of the brown coffee changing it from brown to slight pink which I thought was lovely. Two slices of strawberry on top of the foam look extremely cute too! The downfall? I couldnt taste the strawberry flavour in the coffee. Actually it tasted similar to the Caramel Macchiato.

Milli Crepe cakes would be one of my favourite cakes! So far I have a great preference on the milli crepe cake by Nadeje in Malacca and somehow couldnt find other cakes as good as those untill today. If I have not mistaken, Maco cafe sells "Sugar and Flour's" millie crepe cakes and ohh, they are delicious!!!

We had Hokkaido Cream Millie Crepe Cake and Strawberry Millie Crepe Cake! Each about RM8.

The Strawberry Milli Crepe Cake was layered with alternating strawberry cream and fresh cream! The strawberry cream made the cake very appetizing because it tasted fruity fresh!

The Hokkaido cream cake was really good smelling!! The cream had a different sweet scent to it!

For mains, there are two choices. Pies and Quiches! We ordered Chicken and Mushroom Pie, about RM15 which came with a cup of salad.

The pie was very fresh! Its as if they were freshly baked from the oven upon placement of order! Pipping hot pie. They were very generous with their mushrooms! Sisters said that mushrooms were too many and that mushroom overload didnt taste too good.

On the other hand, I thought their pie was okay but that their salad was stinky. It smelled like sour armpit and tasted like puke to me. Mum ad sisters said that the salad was okay though, mum said its because of the vinegar that I'm not use to.

Then came my Chicken, Ham and Mushroom Quiche!! I think this cost about RM18. Didn't know how to pronounce it but I checked and Quiche is pronounced as "Keesh".

Love the fluffy pastry on top of the hot ingredients beneath! So light and buttery, yummy! Of course, I gave my salad to mum LOL.

Order this for Valentines when you dine there yes!

Soon came dessert. Initially we wanted Chocolate Fondant but they didnt have it so I ordered Creme Brulee, RM10. Every time I have my Creme Brulee it reminds me of my boyfriend, dang it! I miss him so much but I doubt he's missing me as much:( Shouldnt have order it, HAHAHHA Joking!

The Creme Brulee came with a very stunning presentation. Check out the ice- cream, fine biscotti crisp and mix fruits!! Baby would love this I'm sure!

This is the first time having such beautiful Creme Brulee! And it cost me only RM10!!! What a steal! A must have for Valentines! Its so far the BEST creme brulee ever!!

Oh ya, I was thinking where was the burnt sugar till I tug aside the massive amount of fruits .Wala!! Slightly burnt sugar, not overly done. Deliciousssss!

Sis ordered Panna Cotta, RM10. Oh, its a no no for future order. It was tasteless and too tough of a texture. It was like eating solidified jelly with too much jelly powder, hard. But I got to give it to them for such pretty presentation of the dessert!

The shop isnt facing the main road, but it is the at same row as Overtime (at the junction). Situated right next to Reborn massage centre. A pleasant place to hang out and chill.

If you aren't one of the lucky ones around being able to celebrate Valentines, either because you don't have a Valentine or your Valentine thinks it's crap and implies that you are materialistic, fred not! You can always group up with your other emo friends for tea!

p.s. Some people criticize Valentine's Day reasoning that why love your partner (show love/concern/cherish etc) only on Feb 14 when you should love them 24/7/365. WTF, but if you DO love them that much 24/7/365 you wouldn't mind loving them extra (and spending on them extra) on Feb 14 wouldn't you! Assholes.

Ali Cafe at Nusa Bestari, JB + KSL Food Festival 2012

Oh! I'm blogging with the new blogger's interface! I know, a little late since they launch this like rather long ago but Im just that kind of stick to the mud kinda person so Im ignorant to change LOL Anyway, this post would be about another cafe that Ive been to called Ali Cafe at Nusa Bestari, JB. I don't think it has got to do with that 'Ali Cafe' brand coffee but then again if it's not wouldnt they be facing some copy right issues? Hmm.

So last weekend, mum was busy with ah kong (granddad) so since we got the car all to ourselves, we roam the streets! Was looking around Sutera Utama for cafe but it seems that most stores there open late. So somehow we decided to head over Ali Cafe, a very creative looking cafe from the outside.

Always wanted to check it out since it opened which was like what? 2 years back LOL Ali Cafe would probably be a halal cafe since all the workers there are Malay so I assume its a halal cafe to hang out though I didnt notice whether they hung up the official cert.

They have cool tables that look like a field! Im not quite sure of the type of field though? Does it look like a football field to you? :S HAHAHHA My sports suck so bad.

Reb ordered Honey Lemon, RM4.20. Well, if you are a big fan of home made tasting products then you might like this. It really tasted like honey. And lemon. Gosh, what am I saying! LOL But somehow I didn't really like it because it reminds me of a drink that I could easily do at home.

You might be thinking why is that so bad? Well, it isn't! Just that I would preferably have something that I can't make on my own. That's why I fork out the money, it isnt just to quench my thirst. Such a Scrooge, me. HAHA!

Reb's gigantic platter of Fish and Chips, RM14.90. They gave us TWO huge pieces of fish! And lots of fries and a big chunk of salad leaves that wasn't even touch by Reb since she doesn't like vegetables much.

Took a picture with my finger as a scale to the width of that super big fish! Its was like 3- 4 times the thickness of my finger!! We don't usually have such big fishes here in our Fish and Chips. I'm not sure if its a norm to be that generous in other countries but no, Malaysia serves tiny servings of fishes. Usually. So I was amazed!

Happy girl made the right choice of lunch! On the side note, I can't wait to have Fish by the beach! Not here of course, JB's Lido beach wouldn't be very approriate to hang out at currently at this moment or in say, 5 years to come? Make it 10:S

Favourite Fries with Curry Mayo, RM6.90. This is a single person's serving. They do offer a bigger serving for sharing for about RM14 if I've not mistaken. Straight cut thick fries, YES! Was a bit sceptical about the curry powder used with mayo because it sounded weird but it tasted fine. Very Malaysian tasting.

So visit Ali Cafe if you want to dine Malaysian with a modernised twist! Not to say that Malaysia is Ulu, but yea, what I meant was like the good old Nasi Lemak that would be Nasi Lemak on pretty papers instead of banana leaf there? HAHA, Im crapping. But you get the idea yes?

Just notice the company is "Power Root" so it's the Ali Cafe's coffee brand's boss after all!

Went to KSL Food Festival a few days back! They are having their Food Festival again this year which is up-running from now till February 19. Been to this event last year and returned this year even if it sucks HAHA! They are a few stalls outside Tesco and they set up a few tables and chairs for you to dine in.

Got my Creme Brulee, RM9.90 from Dessert Forest, here have a look. As expected didnt taste as good as the other creme brulee that I have tasted. Still cant find one that beats the one at Marco's Pizza, KL.

A variety of desserts. Ive a feeling that their hot desserts would taste better such as the sesame dessert, some warm sago thing etc Wanted to try their Fried Cheese Balls which was displayed on the banner but was said to be only available at their main outlet at Sutera Utama, somewhere at Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/4. Then why do you put it up on the menu! Grr..

Talking about Sutera Utama, we found a new cafe call Maco. Im not quite sure whether it's new or that I just notice it LOL According to their reviews, their mille crepe seem quite good! Can't wait to check it out soon!! Hopefully their's is as good as Nadeje's in Malacca!

Once in a year meet up: Secret Recipe + Taroyami + Lavender Bistro

This year's Chinese New Year is one of the best because I got to meet up with many of my 'long lost friends' since all of my buddies are scattered all around Malaysia (and the world). The first bunch of friends that I met up with were Joyce, Wawa, Kave and Simren as shown in picture below.

Amazingly, we share the same phone model LOL

Since it was still early Chinese New Year, most of the shops were close so we had no choice but to hang out in shopping malls instead. Decided to grab a bite at Secret Recipe at Aeon Tebrau City, JB. I love Secret Recipe's cake! To think that Malaysia could come out with such an awesome cake chain outlet!!

Simren, the coffee addict very much like my boyfriend ordered some ice coffee beverage, about RM7. Cream look so good!

We had Apple Cheese Slice, about RM6. Yummy! It didnt taste too dense nor too gooey, just right!

My favourite Carrot Slice, also about RM6. The cream cheese icing on top goes so well with the Carrot cake!!

Last year, mum's friend bought her two slices of Carrot Slice for her birthday and gosh, that was the beginning of my Carrot Slice addiction. Actually, Shar (refer to the upcoming bunch of friends) makes real fantastic carrot cake too!! She even so generously gave me the recipe when I was in form 6 but Im just too lazy to bake anything these days LOL.

The least favourite, Brownies Walnut, about RM6. It was the only one that had leftovers.

Lamb pie! Price about RM7. Im always skeptical when it comes to lamb because I tasted too many smelly ones before but I assure you that the lamb pie at Secret Recipe doesnt stink. Very tasty! Got teased by friends, saying that next time when I'm around they should whip up lamb dish so I wouldnt touch the food, since they hardly can find anything that I dont eat HAHA

Hello ladies, it was fun meeting up!

Then I met up with my bestie Nit on another day since she couldnt make it to our earlier outing! If you havent read my post on 7 Spices do read!!

Also, since she treated me with such a grand fare of Indian Cuisine, I got her dessert at Taroyami at Sutera Utama, JB. Taroyami is situated at Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/3, Taman Sutera Utama. Again, the area next to Sutera Mall.

You got to place your order and then you will be handed with a buzzer that would vibrate and light up once your dessert is ready for collection at the collection bar.

And there you have it!! Red bean shredded ice with red bean topping, taro balls and sweet potato balls, about RM6. It reminded me of the shop in KL, Snowflakes at SS15, selling similar desserts.

I wouldnt go for red bean shredded ice in the next visit, it tasted too lumpy like a milky red bean ice cream being pressed down into a bowl:S The balls were good though, wished they were a bit more generous.

Off to my next meet up with another bunch of friends! We grab a bite at Lavender Bistro at Aeon Tebrau City. A place where they have so little on their menu:S Shar ordered some 'special' pastries because she said she will not be able to have these kind of food when she goes back to Labuan for studies LOL. Each piece cost about RM3.

Raspberry Vanilla Cake, RM5.80. This was superb! Spongy cake, not too sweet.

Jasmine Tea with Rose, RM10 per pot. It comes with two cups and if you want a third cup you would need to add about RM3!!! JUST FOR AN EMPTY CUP. So I shared a cup with Wawa, I'm such a scrooge I know but there is no choice:P

Free hot water refill though, and the staffs were very attentive once we emptied the pot. We refilled about 3 times yet the tea wasn't too diluted! Not bad, next time can refill for the fourth time LMAO

Shar, another coffee addict, had iced coffee to accompany her pastries!! HAHA Why do I have so many coffee addict friends? :D Oh! She was sitting at the other end so I kinda forgot to try how it taste as I was busy taking pictures and listening to granny stories LOL.

I have no idea what Renu ordered, but Im gussing it's Sprite with lemon slices, haha.

YY's Pineapple Fried Rice. It came with chicken frost, she said that it was weird. Well, it was a little weird since it didnt tasted like the usual pineapple fried rice. Edible though.

My FAVOURITE Scones with cream and blueberry jam!!!! A bit pricey to have two scones for about RM7 but hey!I loves scones:) I am going to hunt down every scone shop I find in Aussie when I'm there and then reveal the best scone shop in Sydney!! HAHAHHA

Crazy cool. Renu hates berries jam I wonder why? So I told her its Grape! LOL

Chinese New Year mood is still in the air,

AnMour Cafe at Sutera Utama, JB.

Here I present to you AnMour Cafe, JB, a homegrown modest American restaurant concept cafe. First thing that came to my mind when I first came across of this cafe was What is Anmour?! I tried googling but I couldnt really find the definition of its name, so perhaps they wanted it to be amour but somehow the registration people screwed up? LOL

AnMour Cafe is tucked at a rather quiet corner of Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/3, at Sutera Utama. Its located at the area beside Sutera Mall that is populated by a whole bunch of cafe sprouting.

There are very few blog reviews on this Cafe, but somehow after some research done there was a good impression of it so decided to give it a shot. Celebrated my parent's birthday there on Chinese New Year's day itself since it was dad's birthday.

I was looking forward to trying their mini burgers but found out on the day itself that they only served CNY set meals on that day. Was rather disappointed, the workers there should at least inform us when we made our reservations there much earlier. Oh well, but it was all good.

So for a RM38++ set meal, we had a drink of our choice. Either ice lemon tea or orange juice. I have to admit that Im rather found of their self made ice lemon tea! Was just expecting the normal Nestle one but no! Its really tea and lemon, love how fragrant the tea was. After all, I'm eherm.. a tea person.

Orange was normal.

I read up on a blog, according to that blogger Anmour cafe serves delicious FREE appetizer. I was rather skeptical about free food being delicious, since nothing free can be good no? LOL Furthermore, the free appetizers were just buns to be dipped in their BBQ sauce.

Guess what! I was so wrong!! The buns were indeed shockingly delicious!

It tasted as if the buns were steamed, so soft and fluffy unlike the ones that you buy at the shop that comes in a pack of 6 where you usually tear them and stuff them down your pennyless-moment stomach. The best part was that it tasted more delicious when dipped in that BBQ sauce!!

Who knew such simplicity tasted so good?

Dad wanted more buns, but since I wasn't sure on whether we could actually buy another basket of them since it was only set meals available, we just tried our luck and asked. The boss (I assume) came by our table and asked how many buns do we want. We told him 5 and he generously said "Okay, I give you for FREE".

Wow! FREE for the second time!!

Then came our salad. My initial impression on that few leaves and a slice of tomato in half salad was speechless. I was just amused by how generous they can be on the buns but how not that generous can they be on their salad HAHAHHA.

But guess what! Another huge surprise! Their salad tasted so freaking good!! Salad sauce was definitely made with some berry. Most likely Raspberry. It was sour and sweet! Very appetizing!! Never had salad dressing as good as this before.

Another shocking thing (yes, I was shocked many times throughout this dining experience) is that though the salad portion was super small, it felt just enough after I polished it off! Suddenly, the bible story of 5 loaves and 2 fishes came to my mind LOL. Then I thought to myself, you judgmental ass. LMAO

Secret berry sauce.

Cream of mushroom with garlic bread came soon after. LOVE their soup!! I can taste the smooth cream that is well blended with the mushrooms. You can be rest assured that this cafe does not serve "canned soup" like Pizza Hut.

My main course: Chicken Cordon Bleu.

The chicken was okay, mediocre but their mash potato was fantastic! Buttery and milky.

Brown sauce was rather good though. I know you see mushrooms there but it didnt taste like mushroom sauce LOL

Fish and chips. It was just okay.

Mum's Carbonara Pasta. I can tell you it's one of the best that I've ever tasted!! There was this watery egg yolk on top of the creamy pasta, once broken and stirred together with the tasty carbonara sauce, GOSHHH did it taste good!

I'm usually not a big fan of pasta but I surely can finish up the whole plate of Carbonara Pasta that day if not for it being mum's share.

7 Spices at Danga Bay, Johor Bahru

Hello!! After the very long Chinese New Year holidays Im back blogging about food again! It's getting harder and harder to be not lazy at home. I have tonnes of pictures and food places to blog about but Im just DARN lazyyy. Guess I'm also influenced by my boyfriend who somehow or rather brainwashed me into believing that its not necessary to place everything online. Which then makes me more lazy. GOSH.

Enough of those craps! This blog post will be on Indian Cuisine at 7 Spices, Danga Bay, Johor Bahru! 7 Spices is an Indian restaurant supposingly famous for their North Indian cuisine but also serves South Indian cuisine. Its fully air conditioned and rather nicely renovated if compared to other Indian restaurants in town. Ambience is similar to Amma Restaurant.

Been wanting to try out the food there since it opened few years back but somehow our dining experience always got postponed. This time, Nit came over for a CNY visit! So we headed over to 7 Spices for lunch. Yesterday, mum was in a good mood so we had lunch again at 7 Spices! Check out the foodies.

Coffee, RM2.50. Mum didnt like it very much because according to her it was too bitter but it was fine to my preference.

Strawberry shake, RM6. Tasted very much like melted strawberry ice- cream. Isn't too bad but if it tasted more of fresh strawberry then it would be much better.

Vanilla Milkshake, RM6. It tasted like melted vanilla ice- cream too. If you decide to get the milkshakes then it best if you order Ice Water, RM0.50 too because it can get too sweet.

I liked the chapathi a lot!! Its hot and freshly made when you place the order. Goes very well with that Kashmir Lamb!! I LOVE the Kashmir Lamb too because of the spices used that made it so fragrant! Plus the meat is super soft too.. Yummy!!

Chicken Briyani, RM12 served with papadum. You can also order extra papadum too, 5 pieces for RM2.

Chicken briyani has a rather generous piece of chicken served in the rice together with a whole egg! Worth the price paid. They also provide this small plate of white onion salad looking thing to be eaten together.

Oh ya, did I mention that Nit bought me lunch that day too? THANKS Nit!!

Since Nit and I went there on a Thursday, I had their Set Lunch, RM15 which are only served on weekdays. Set lunch includes rice with your choice of chicken or lamb, a drink and dessert (a scoop of ice- cream). You can always top up your rice and vegetables for FREE!

Drink given was Lime Juice. Original price for the Lime Juice, RM3.50.

There, my banana leaf meal!! I chose spicy mutton! Vegetables were long beans (left) and some other vege that I couldnt put a finger to what it is (right). VERY TASTY!!! Nit was a herbivore that day so she ordered a Vegetarian Banana Leaf Meal, RM6.

Side dish: Vegetable cutlet, RM4. Tasty too! Similar to the Malay potato cutlet except a little tougher.

The dish in the middle should be the Paneer Masala, RM13. Not that spicy, rather mild.

Free meal makes me one happy woman! LOL

You can also select the type of rice that you want. There is a selection of normal white rice, Briyani rice or special rice (Kashmir rice). I chose the Special Rice, additional RM2! My first time eating such long rice. Its twice the length of the usual rice that I have eaten.

I just notice that they didn't charge us with service charge!! WOW!

Pizza Hut's Golden Reunion Feast + CNY Reunion Lunch 2012

Happy Chinese New Year!! Its been super busy and pack today but it's all awesome because I dont feel one bit bored. Few days ago, we had Pizza Hut's Chinese New Year Special pizza!! Love their tangy sauce:) Check out their Reunion Feast special!

Reunion lunch yesterday was at my favourite ah mah's (mum's mum) house! What a SPREAD!!

My grandparents (mum's side) are damn sporting! Though they are nearly 80, they are still strong as a bull! Can go shopping on a daily basis too LOL Guess what? Preparations for reunion lunch was done all by themselves. They insisted to get eveything done with their own effort including buying the raw ingrediants in the market, pounding their own special chili sauce with the pestle and mortar etc etc.

Love them tonnes! Aunt helped cooked this sweet sour prawns though,

Super sweet soup! Mum said that ah mah used TWO chickens, pork ribs and lots of cabbage! No wonder its so tasty.. Unlike the normal soup that taste like nothing but waterrr.

Langkawi Penang Family Trip 2011

Hello world! Im in such a good mood today because I get to write on my boyfriend's wall! HAHA

Initially I decided not to blog about Langkawi because I was lazy and thought that a family trip should just remain as a family trip without the need to publicized it online. However, since Im in a very good mood I thought that writing this post would be very much helpful for my bestie Nit as she's planning for her Langkawi trip now!

Before I start, just a warning that this post would be rather long and naggy, thats if you are here to read on short and sweet travel blogs. I'll be crapping a LOT. Sweet but not one bit short.

So my family and I had a short vacation to Langkawi last December thanks to Naomi who secured a job there for a week at LIMA. Its more like a volunteering job rather than a real real job but anyhow it made our Langkawi trip possible! So big thanks to Med Ass.

Guess what? Im proud to say that I finally got the chance to board a plane for the very first time in my life!! I even bought the plane ticket with my own pocket money! And.. my first time on a plane was when I was 21! Reb is so lucky, she was only 12 and she got to fly!! I had to wait till I turned 21:S

There, Air Asia has imprinted itself in my history. FIRST FLYING EXPERIENCE!!

I also wanted to dine in a plane!! But since it was only an hour's journey there wasn't a need to even snack on anything:S Oh well, maybe when Im flying to England then I'll dine!!! :D

Oh!! And I've always wanted a tag on my bag!!! WOO HOO! I know I sound so jakun but then I really was jakun! HAHA Im always in awe when my boyfriend tells me his next travel destination! Though its only for working purposes and that he wont be able to go sight seeing and all but Hey! He gets so many stickers on his bagpack! :P

Met up with Med Ass in Langkawi! I can tell that she was very excited to see us because her pimples started popping out! Oh ya, throughout the trip Med Ass was really tired, she slept whenever there was an opportunity to do so, even in the taxi:S

The taxi driver who brought us around Langkawi was Mr.Ahmad Bakar. He charged us RM100 for a 4 hour tour around the island. That taxi uncle was a really nice and friendly guy, he also offers Homestay program at his home! Ive been to his house, its nice and clean and cooling! His wife was also very nice!! So if anyone is interested in any of his tour services you can call the number below,

First place that we went to was Beras Terbakar. Its just a field where rice was burnt to prevent invaders to obtain the rice. Entrance is FREE.

But if you are looking for a place to buy souvenirs like batik cloths, keychains, snacks and so on this would be the place to be! There is a long stretch of stalls leading to the entrance of Beras Terbakar! The things there are cheaper than elsewhere.

Batik cloths are sold from RM10 per piece! You can find keychains that are sold in bundle of 10 for the price of RM10! Lots of t-shirts too price starting from RM10. Med Ass bought a cute baby tee for her boyfriend's cousin for RM10 too!!

Next place was Makam Mahsuri. Entrance fee for Malaysian adults and children are RM5 and RM2.50 respectively. I think the entrance fee for foreigner wouldn't differ much.

Just so you know Mahsuri is a beautiful lady who was wrongfully accused of adultery when her husband was away and was sentenced to death. She bled white blood signifying her innocence. Also, she cursed the land to be barren for 7 generations.

Check out the famous Langkawi kuih mum bought! Its made out of red sugar if Ive not mistaken! Its texture is crunchy, but leaves a weird bitterly aftertaste. RM2 for 3 pieces.

Next stop, Gallery Perdana. We didnt want to go to his boring museum but mum wanted to go there so badly because she wanted to see all Mahathir's (our 4th prime minister) possesion. If Ive not mistaken the entrance fee cost about RM10. They also made us pay RM2 for each camera/ recoding gadgets.

Answer? My mum.

Since we paid RM2, might as well take lots of pictures to make the RM2 payment worth while. I just hate that lady guard there, shes acting as if SHE'S the EX- PRIME MINISTER!!

That evening we had dinner at Pantai Cenang. Dang! I forgot the name of the chinese seafood restaurant but its rather huge, the same row as the Underwater World. Food wasnt that good, price was not worth the food. Anyway, since I love to blog about food I took pictures of the dishes we ordered.

Started our meal with Irish Cream ice- cream, RM7.90. It wasnt too bad, just that it wasnt fantastic either.

Butter Prawns, or was it cereal prawns? Horribly made. Tasted so stale.

Stir fry Kailan with oyster sauce.

Deep fried squid which was tasteless. GOSH.

Loster salad which cost us RM70+! It would taste good if it was served chilled. Imagine eating warm mayonaise?!!!

Oh yes! I forgot to mention the hotel that we stayed in!! Its Lancons Hotel at Pantai Cenang. Booked the room through www.agoda.com, a deluxe room consisting of 2 queen sized bed only for RM100 per night! Water cooler/ heater provided too. SUPER CHEAP!! The place is also very clean and comfy, situated right opposite the Underwater World and ZON shopping mall!

ZON shopping mall right opposite our hotel. Tonnes of alcohol product for a dirt cheap price!! Price starts from RM20!! According to the salesperson, each person would be allowed to carry one bottle of alcohol each out the island without being taxed.

Wanted to get my boyfriend something but thought that getting him alcohol would only give him a wrong impression about me agreeing to unnecessary drinking. So NO! no alcohol bought. Thought of getting bestie Nit one bottle but she gets drunk easily so I banished that thought too.

Lots of perfume too! Bought for Med Ass her Westlife's perfume set for her upcoming birthday.

Next place, Idaman Suri!!!! This chain store is very famous in Langkawi! They sell lots of cutlery sets, pot, pans, everything a housewife would ever want for a SUPER DUPER CHEAP PRICE!!! Its no wonder why its name means "Housewives' desire" LOL.

After stealing a picture or two at Idaman Suri, Med Ass told me that camera is not allowed! :S

Check out the stuffs that we bought in two days!!! No room for shopping stuffs! Oh yes, this is the second hotel that we stayed in. I wanted to stay nearer to the Kuah jetty since our plan was to board a ferry to Penang the next day.

Mum and sisters hated the second hotel that I booked HAHAHHA Its call Langkawi Budget Inn situated at Pokok Asam, near kuah. Deluxe room with two queen bed cost RM130 per night.

The good thing is that taxi fees from here to Kuah Jetty cost only RM8. There is also a KFC outlet situated a row away from that hotel. The best part is that Teow Soon Huat Departmental Store is walking distance from this hotel!! How bad can my planning be?

Shopping goodies. Oh ya! We went to Haji Ismail store too!! This is a must go place for people who are interested in buying cheap shit chocolates!!!! Bought a 30 piece Ferrero Rocher for only RM19.90!!!! Kinder Bueno there is so cheeeeeap too!

I bought a few Belgium chocs that couldnt be found in stores outside Langkawi! Price range from RM9.90 onwards! The only downfall about Haji Ismail is that you wont be able to find alcoholic chocolates there so I bought mine from Teow Soon Huat departmental store!

Those two luggages from the left? We bought it from Langkawi at a discount of 70% at ZON mall!!! Yet, we had trouble with our luggages.Too much stuffs!! My polkadot luggage bag cost only RM130 instead of RM400+!!!!

Next stop, Dataran Lang. Entrance is FREE. Eagle Bay is a famous tourist spot that you just gotta be at! I didnt expect that Dataran Lang would be so beautiful, the scenery was simply breath taking. Then regretted not going for island hopping or snorkelling or doing any water sport:(

Ferry tickets to Penang! Beware!! There are only TWO time slots to travel to Penang from Langkawi! We got the 2.30pm one! Ticket cost us RM60 if Ive not mistaken, for a 2 hour journey boat ride. Sucks.

There is a mall call Jetty Point at the Kuah's Jetty but the stuffs there are very expensive! I mean, still tax free but it could be double the price of the stuffs bought in Idaman Suri, Haji Ismail or Teow Soon Huat.

Thats all about Langkawi Nit! Hope you make proper planning before you leave for that island because I feel that I didnt really take the opportunity to enjoy Langkawi to the fullest! Hey if this trip with your family tak jadi, lets go together in June? We can go island hopping, eagle feeding, water sports etc.

Horrifying bus ride back to KL. I thought KKKL bus company would be trustworthy! Who knew such disaster would occur?! Terrible driver with extremely nauseating temper and kiampak attitude.

Sushi King Chinese New Year Promotion 2012

If blogging would keep me awake at this hour then blogging it shall be! Not to say that its that late, its barely 7pm but Im feeling darn sleep. The worst thing is that when sleeping time really comes i.e. 10pm then I won't be able to sleep till about 2am!! GOSH, my body clock is so screwed!

In the meantime while trying to stay awake, waiting for my Running Man episode 76 to finish loading, I shall post a little something about Sushi King! Its really much like a tradition for my sisters and I to dine at Sushi King during Chinese New Year season. Its because they would have their CNY menu up and ready!!

We would obviously look forward to having their yummy scallops! Somehow I prefer scallops over abalones, thought the later is much preferred by others. Sadly, this year scallops aren't the main star for Sushi King's CNY menu.

At least they still had some on their "Prosperity Wrap" (as shown below), I think it was RM5. Inside was rice with tiny bits of scallops. Didnt really like it though it didnt taste too bad.

OH!! Good news! They still have their MINI Yee Sang! This prosperity toss dish only cost us RM8.88! Love their limey tasting sauce:) They do have a bigger version for RM38.88.

There, CNY's menu. Wanted to get that Dragon Roll, RM13.90 which consist of soft shell crab! But decided not to order because it looks sad from the illustration, what more the real display?

Tako Ten, RM5.90! Naomi told me not to order this but I insisted because I imagine it to be real crunchy sotong balls, but who knew it tasted like mashed takoyaki coated with flour:(

Favourite tempura!! Accidentally ordered all vegetables Yasai Tempura, RM7.90 instead of the mix ones. Oh well.

Total bill came up to RM75+. Too bad we were shot of RM5! If not we could get a free angpow packet for RM80 and above! Oh well, their angpow packet isnt that pretty anyway:P

Speed Zone Cafe, Revisit.

Another boring day. Who knew boredom could actually be a kind of motivation for me to blog? So this post would be about Speed Zone cafe in Setia Tropika. Yes, I have posted a post regarding this cafe not long before so this counts as part 2 of Speed Zone maybe?

The last post on Speed Zone cafe was when I met up with a bunch of friends there for lunch. This time it was a family affair, in a way to give the asses some motivation before school starts. Talking about school, well school sucks. Even if Im not the one attending school, it still sucks because being at home while my sisters are schooling is just darn BORING!!

Oh, by detached I mean putting their chat time on hold while she leaves the internet behind for dinner LOL Its at times annoying when her world now seem to only revolve around his as all she wants to do is stay at home to chat but then again who doesnt if its a LDR, especially when you can hardly meet?

I was (still am when he's available that is) practically the same when it comes to chatting with my boyfriend so yeah. JOE YOU ARE ONE LUCKY GUY!

So, for starters dad and mum had mushroom soup. Soup had a hint of coffee taste! More like an aftermath caffeine taste. Weird. Maybe thats why its called Trio Mushroom Soup, RM6.90.

Reb's Strawberry Yogurt, RM6.90.

Mum ordered Kamhiong Fried Rice, RM6.90 because she had to have rice as her staple food. If there isnt rice in her meal then that meal isnt considered complete. It tasted okay, like any other fried rice.

Oh! We had Calamari rings, RM12.90 too!! Though its those that you can buy frozen off the grocery store, it still tasted so good! They had mayo and some other sauce drizzled on top that added to the yum factor!

Dad's Irish Cream Cappuccino, RM6.90. Tasted like coffee, and yeah only coffee:S

Dad wanted beef for dinner but they were out of beef that night so he settled of Grilled lamb shoulder, RM18.90. I never did like lamb very much, so not my favourite dish. Anyway, that must be one fat lamb since there was one monsterous chunk of fat off the shoulder meat:S

The boss realised that he gave dad the wrong sauce to pair up with the lamb so he came with the correct mint sauce soon after but dad was already done with his meal LOL Nevertheless, despite his blunder service there was really good. As mentioned earlier in my previous Speed Zone post, I'd always return to that cafe just for the good service even if the food isnt very glorious.

Reb had Breaded Cheesy Fish and Chips, RM16.90. It was the exact same thing that I had that day, but mine was chicken.

There, my Cheesy Golden Chicken RM13.90. Wasn't the best but it was edible. Personally, I hate that flaky Japanese thingy on top but the melted cheese did go well with my juicy chicken.

Naomi's meal came last LOL She had Black Pepper Grilled Chicken Chop, RM12.90. It was good though, worth the wait. Way better than my Golden Chicken.

Same sauce as dad's lamb. A bit too salty.

After our meal, the boss treated us with a FREE Chocolate Cupcake Ice- Cream!! When we were trying out the free dessert he just stood there restlessly, as if he's waiting for some critique from food gourmets:S He was even breaking in cold sweats, and gave out a sigh of relief when we said that it was good. Funny guy indeed LOL.

Total bill came up to RM100+ which is a very reasonable price for 5 people dining. REALLY GOOD service I must say, and a funny boss. Well, Im actually assuming that he is the boss:P

Hello readers!! My very first post in the dragon year 2012! Am very excited to post up more foodie post especially when I dined at "Speed Zone Cafe" for the second time! The place look way nicer at night, better ambiance yet service was not lacking one bit! More about that later because I didnt had the opportunity to transfer pictures from Suco, my cam, since Im currently a one eyed freak:S

Just to have some pity, here's a picture of my swollen eye when it was just starting to swell. Last night, it got really horrible. Somehow it got larger and got really painful. To make things worst, I couldnt really open my eyes since the lids were glued with dried eye liquid :S

Somehow when my eye lids were 'glued' all I wanted to do was to call my boyfriend to moan and wail. WTH right? Oh! Reb asked me if he would come down to JB just to visit me since I was 'sick' and I flatly replied "Obviously NOT" HAHAHHA

While waiting for my eye to completely recover I decided to put up some pictures of yummy foodies!! Check out the biscuits I got from Langkawi last month! Belgium biscuits dipped in chocolates!! The price of this would be around RM12, much cheaper then the ones that you find in Marks and Spencer. And no, you cant find this in supermarkets in Malaysia (outside Langkawi). Cold Storage might have them though?

Another choco from Langkawi! This was suppose to be a gift for my 'father- in- law' but then since I didnt got the chance to pass it to him I bought it back to JB and its now happily sleeping in my tummy LOL Good thing I got the dark choco Belgium sea shell chocs.. Cant imagine me having to finish up a whole box of milk choco ones. Oh yes, the price is only RM9.90. Langkawi is truly a choco heavan!

Some other choco from Langkawi. I decided not to blog about Langkawi. Partially its because Im lazy and anyway 2011 has already passed. So I guess Im just posting up the choco pictures that I have. That Jack Daniels choco was suppose to be for my boyfriend but since I couldnt meet up with him before coming back to JB.. the choco went down someone else's tummy too:P

The wine choco was rather nice, finished it up when we were in Langkawi itself. Cost only RM10.90. You would only be able to get non alcoholic chocolates from Haji Ismail so if you want alcoholic choco then you would need to hunt them down in shops like Teow Soon Huat departmental stores etc

Moving on! Foodies that I miss much when I was away from home, ais kacang and ice jelly!! Just so you know, ais kacang is a dessert- flavoured shredded ice on stuffs like peanuts, corns, jelly etc at the bottom. Ooh laa laaa.. ais kacang is best at Wisma! but it's becoming extinct nowadays and its such a sad thing because its the best dessert we have here in Malaysia considering the scorching weather that we have to endure all year long!

From a shop call "Tan Kee" situated near that old place where you make your passports and IC in town. Each bowl is priced at RM3. Just freaking look at the amount of bittersweet choco on the ice!!! YUMMY!

Something slightly lighter in flavour, ice jelly. It's also price at RM3 per bowl. This dessert has shredded ice on top of a thick layer of jelly below. The ice is the topped with mixed fruits and drenched with lime juice!

Absolutely refreshing!

Besides dessert, they also sell banana fritters, keropok lekor and keledek!

The best thing about pisang goreng in JB? They provide you with this super spicy yet delicious sambal kicap!!! I realised that they dont usually provide you with that dipping sauce in KL:( What's pisang goreng without sambal kicap yes?

I believe that my fingers display much elegance LOL They look splendid without any editing!

2012 is just getting better and better each day. Hope yours rocks as much. More updates soon, Toodles!

Speed Zone Cafe, Setia Tropika JB

Met up with my friends a few days ago and I suggested that we should meet up a Speed Zone Cafe, Setia Tropika! Thanks to Kave for the lift:) Speed Zone Cafe is a car racing themed cafe situated in Setia Tropika, JB near the new immigration place. Find for Jalan Setia Tropika 1/29, its on the same row as Anakku and 7- 11.

You wouldnt miss it as they have this huge signboard!

They had this promotion going on when I was there last week. Lunch set for only RM9.90!! You can choose from four sets shown. Set A: butter chicken with rice, Set B and C: Spaghetti, Set D: Some kinds of fried bee hoon with seafood gravy on top.

Every set meal comes with a drink. I chose green apple and Joyce chose Mango. If you're wondering whats that brown layer on top of the flavour that we picked? Well, thats tea! So the drink taste like fruity tea when you mix it up together. Not bad, but initially when I tried it I thought it tasted weird LOL.

I was expecting cars or something related to racing as their stirrer but that mini cocktail thingy look cute as well!

Simren ordered the Strawberry flavour ice tea but it didnt look like our I wonder why?

It had many little circle thingy below the drink, too bad my cam couldnt catch it..

Kave ordered Chicken in BBQ sauce and it was yummy!!

Oh ya, just so you know why the tea freaked me out a little. Just look at the colour of it once I stirred the drink, the conbination of that two layers resulted in a freaky green colour BUT it tasted fine.

Joyce and Simren had their noodles which look way better than mine! I kinda regretted ordering my butter chicken rice:(

There, my lunch.. It looks great but taste mediocre. There were too few pieces of chicken next to the big chunk of rice that I thought made the whole meal look pathetic. The chicken wasnt too bad though.

After lunch while chit chatting, I notice that the table next to ours ordered food that look very delicious if compared to the set meals! So next time I would definately order ala carte food! The fish meals look so alluring I was tempted to place another order!

Though rather turn off by my set lunch, I was really happy with the service that they offer. Since we sat there and chat for quite some time and had finished up the drinks that we order, the waitress was nice enough to serve us ice water without us asking for it. There were only two waitresses working at that time but it didnt stop them from proving excellent service! They clean up our plates really quick too just so we could talk in non messy table.

So its worth a try if you are staying around here and is finding a new place to hang out! Service there is absolutely fantastic, and honestly that aspect alone made me recommend this place so much despite their mediocre rated food. Im bring my sisters to Speed Zone Cafe for lunch soon!!

Oh ya, the price of the food is reasonable too. Most food cost about RM12 while their most expensive meal would cost about RM26 if Ive not mistaken. They are open everyday except on Wednesdays from 12pm onwards.

This wraps up my post for year 2011!!!

I had a great year this year, turning 21 and having a fun birthday surprise from smelly asses. Next year would definately be a greater year, so keep up the momentum people! Let bygones be bygones, eherm.. I meant it for the bad stuffs LOL If 2011 was sucky for you then no worries because you will be leaving everything shitty behind in less than 7 hours!

Im looking forward to year 2012! Excited!! I even had a new haircut just now WOOT!

Charlie Brown Cafe, Singapore

Despite my not so good mood now I pull myself together and force my fingers to dance on the keyboard just so I could finish my two 2011 posts before January 1, 2012 comes!! Gosh, when I was up in KL I told myself that its because of the sucky internet that Im blogging as often as I should but since now I have better internet access Im still blogging at the same rate HAHA

Okay, craps aside! This post would be about my trip to Singapore with Naomi and my dear friend Wawa!! We took a bus from CIQ instead of the second link since it was nearer to Somerset and way cheaper. Bus t Kranji only cost us RM1! Bus back to Malaysia via second link cost us S$4!!!

This time we spend most of our time in Somerset! Accompanied Wawa to Forever 21 and Rubi that cannot be found in JB. Then we drop by the new H&M store! H&M is situated next to 313@Somerset.

According to my sister, the opening of this store caused a big hoo- haa in Singapore! This all happened when I was up in KL so maybe I was ignorant about it. But when we check out the store it wasnt that fantastic anyway? I was excited about the store when I saw the advertisement strips on the wall as we exited Somerset MRT station, but blahh.. Its expensive and rather yucky actually.

We headed for lunch at Charlie Brown Cafe at 313@Somerset! A few elephants along the way.

Charlie Brown Cafe is situated outside the mall, you gotta walk pass Marche and the Irish Bistro to find it. I first found out about Charlie Brown Cafe in Penang when I was doing some homework before my budget trip with Nit. However, since it wasnt located in Georgetown and it was rather out of the way we didnt manage to dine there that time.

Then I found out that Charlie Brown Cafe would have an outlet in KL on November but sadly the opening day was postponed till December 27. Finally, I made my way to Charlie Brown Cafe in Sinagpore! WOOT!!

Not to say that it was my favourite cartoon, I do at times have a sneak peek of the comic strips but nothing more than that. Anyway, I was excited nevertheless! I just LOVE theme cafe!! Talking about theme cafe, my next post will be about a racing car themed cafe in JB!!

It all look the same and taste nearly the same. The worst was the pizza, I could only taste the tomato on it. Ended up eating it with chili sauce:(

Too pretty to be eaten!! I wanted to get the coffee because it has snoopy's face on it but I didnt want hot coffee at that time so maybe next time with mum!

Wawa disfigured our pretty pancake LOL Wasnt really tasty but it was edible though. Should have ordered the crepe instead!!

Four yummy cakes for Christmas!

Its an awesome Christmas this year because I had FOUR different types of cakes during Christmas!! Yesterday, I went for Nit's 21st birthday party and had this superb chocolate cake! Then when we came home, mum bought a log cake!! We never had a log cake before.. I mean, we do have log cakes but its just not our thing to get one by ourselves. Its always bought by others LOL

Its chocolate logcake!! Good thing mum didnt buy the blueberry one, thought the log was white like covered with snow..

Some of the Christmas goodies! This year we have so much chocolates at home! Havent finish the ones that we bought from Langkawi the other day but still receiving so many more chocs:S

The third and fourth cake were the ones I had this afternoon bought by my cousin's wife! They were suppose to have a 1kg log cake but then due to some unexpected problems, my aunt came back with one log cake and another normal chocolate cake. Aunt who made the order was freaking piss off because SDS Cake shop didnt deliver what they promised LOL.

And their chocolate cake! Initially I thought the chocolate cake was just a plain one like all other chocolate cakes but when I slice it open I realised that it had a layer of marshmellow inside!!! WOOT! First time having marshmellow cake:)

And how come there's so much cake this Christmas? Its to appease my granddad!! It was a surprise to make him happy! Everyone was talking about the cake and the chicken etc etc but he was so blur that he didnt know about the surprise till we brought out the cake!

Also, this year Christmas was super fun because we entered a stack em' competition!! The competition is still tomorrow at Aeon Bukit Indah. The task is to stack the Jingga blocks as high as you can, the highest for the day would win RM50 and if your tower height stays the highest till tomorrow then you win win RM400!!

Christmas at Orchard, Singapore 2011

Im starting to feel bored and the thing is that I have another 2 months to go:S It has been barely 2 weeks since I came home and yes, Im starting to feel antsy LOL. Im bored yet lazy, so I shall procrastinate my Langkawi post again. Instead, Im going to write a bit on my Singapore trip that I had yesterday.

Actually, Naomi bought tickets to see Kyle Patrick. He's the lead in The Click Five if you are clueless. The meet and greet session started at 6pm while the real singing event was suppose to begin at about 7pm or so. Left for Singapore at noon. From now till Dec 31, since its school holiday if Ive not mistaken, you need not pay for the Vehicle Entry Pass (VEP) if you enter Singapore after 12pm which would cost you S$20 on a normal day.

Went to Bugis to shop for Reb's stuff. At about 4pm headed over to Orchard because Naomi was meeting Yen Shan there. So this is the story of what happens after Naomi left. It was rather horrifying.

You see, we had to wait till her event ends (or rather make her come out) at about 9.30pm. This means that we were to hang around aimlessly for about 5 hours in Orchard!! And yes, I cant afford much stuff in Orchard because one bag would be equivalent if not more than my 3 months food money:(

What did we do for approx. 5 hours? We walked and walked and walked. Stop for snacks or a drink and walk again. It does sound rather fun but in reality it was rather sucky. Food in Singapore isnt very much my taste, maybe its because I love unhealthy food LMAO.

I remember a year when they had really cute candy canes hanging on lamp post and such. Ahh, economic crisis I suppose.

Christmas Celebration 2011

Its the time of the year again where I love most!! CHRISTMAS! I love Christmas because of a few reasons. One, I get to shop for new clothes during the year end because its sale time! And I'd be provided with RM300 to get new clothes/ shoes/ bag/ bra etc etc. Not to say that I'd be able to get everything with RM300 but still its better than nothing yes?

Two, shopping for Christmas gifts!! I always love hunting for gifts, making sure that they (smelly asses) would love receiving it! Somehow buying stuff for people makes me feel good LMAO. But nothing beats the sneaky wrapping of gifts so it would be a surprise!

Ya, so it annoys and upsets me most if I give you a present and you react enthusiastically. Even if you dont really like the gift, just ACT excited because I put in lots of effort getting it ready:P

Yesterday was the Christmas celebration in my church! One of the events that I always look forward to other than kids camp. Christmas is always a grand affair for us so we would be all hyped up selecting our best dress, shoes and also slapping on tonnes of thick makeup!!

It was only December 18, but pastor decided to have the celebration earlier just so that people could actually go home and celebrate Christmas with their family on the real Christmas day. Would be a very considerate act for those who wants to go back to their hometown which is situated far far away. However, for people like me where my hometown is in JB.. hmm, doesnt makes much difference.

Left home around 6pm since dinner was served at 6.30pm. Im always expecting turkey because its Christmas after all but no turkeys just chicken. Though, both are birds but chicken just doesnt make the cut for christmas LOL Oh! And that people who serves us the food usually gives us really pathetic miniscus serving. To be more accurate, the lady gave me ONE tiny piece of chicken for dinner:(

Oh well! Talking about Christmas dinner, Im always hoping that my bf would invite me back home for Christmas!! He DOES TURKEY and PIE and everything thats Christmas-y!!! Damn, so glad he's British HAHAHHA

Auntie Theresa, the lady who has this crazy awesome talent in handicrafts gave me a Christmas Special Edition of plushies!! LOOK! How stunning! Love the red! She pays attention to every single detail, even her hand sown stitchings are so fine its as if she used machine!

This year the youth was in charge of the Christmas performance. It was a pleasent performance but it was rather short and it seriously left me wanting more!! They should have a sequel to it or something. Even Joyce thought that it was short if compared to previous years where the presentation was longer.

So glad that Joyce came for Christmas! Shes my secondary school friend, one of a handful that I keep in touch with. One that I can stop talking yet not feel awkward with! JOYCE, I love you haha. Oh!! I dont know if Im allowed to say this here but Im guessing that she has met her "Ah Chong"!!!! More about that later when we meet up since shes currently very secretive.

Nevertheless, I change out of that earring once Im home so yea, I still love the earring that you gave me! Im wearing it on a daily basis and I'd proudly declare that it was bought by him LMAO

Before going home, I receive another gift- an owl plushie!! And guess what? Before entering the car to head back home I saw a REAL OWL!! It was standing there starring at us, woah.

Before leaving for holiday decided to post up this video that I did a few weeks back but didnt had the time nor the opportunity to post it up. Hope it helps some of your who is looking for a reliable skin care product that is reasonably priced if you take into consideration the vast improvement of skin quality.

Been using Clinique for about 2 years now and I still cant stop raving about how awesome the product is! I seriously SWEAR BY IT!! Though it may be a bit pricey for students, but one bottle can be used for a long long time about 6 months to a year depending on one's application.

Hence, if you do the math you would only be spending less than RM50 per month! And the best part is that everyone would envy your face because its as if you've undergo routine facial when all you did was stick by Clinique's 3 step!

I accidentally left out one product that Im also using which is Clinique's 7 day scrub! That scrub is fantastic!! It helps in throrough exfoliation. A bit oily after using it thats why I used it before my cleanser.

Sushi Zanmai, Sunway Pyramid

Im feeling a bit cranky today, due to neglected affection as usual LOL Max I can bear is usually a month then hell breaks loose! Anyway, on the lighter note Im going for a holiday!! Been quite some time since I went for a holiday with my family. First reason is that my dad doesnt like to travel much, second reason its just too pricey to travel these days (i.e. since its a family outing, parents cant ask us to split the bill).

But this time thanks to Med smelly ass we're going Langkawi and then Penang! Yes, I like it in Penang because it feels very homely there, their dialect somehow makes me feel good. I mean they can be loud at times and what not but theres somehow something special about hearing them speak.

Well, craps aside! This is my Sushi Zanmai post! Ive been a big fan of Sushi King for the longest time known. Guess Im just love struck with their Nitsume sauce. I cant have sushi without that sauce, I just CAN'T!

Been hearing about Sushi Zanmai for quite sometime now but have not tried it till recently due to my sense of loyalty to Sushi King. Yes, Im just like that- Even if you suck I'd still stick by you, thank your sauce! HAHAHHA

Asses came up the other day, decided to have sushi for dinner since Im having the tempura cravings. Tried frying them at home but obviously it didnt turn out as good as the shops one. And as Dickson always says, sucky food wouldn't fulfill my cravings. That statement is somewhat true.

(above paragraph to be skipped if you're just too sick and tired of girls wailing their ass off)

Sushi Zanmai in Sunway Pyramid is located at a hidden area, its at F2. As you know the mall has only F as the highest floor in their shopping mall so looking at the directory stating F2 confused me a little. After making a SOS call, found the location of Sushi Zanmai! Its right above Kim Gary!!

Looks like Sushi Zanmai is way more popular than Sushi King because the place was nearly filled to the brim! We didnt get the chance to be seated near the rotating plate area, but the inside area was fine too. Ordered from the variety fooded menu, and snapped away while waiting for the food to be served!

Was really delighted when I saw the sweet sauce there! It tasted like the Nitsume sauce in Sushi King so I suppose I shall change my target now! Loyalty has become a myth LOL

And here are the pictures of my foodies!!! I LOVED the sushi on the left hand side beside the octopus sushi! Ive no idea what is that since we ordered quite a variety of sushi. And as you know japanese name is just too complicated for me to memorised in just one go while browsing through.

Swet sauce octopus sushi is one of my all tie favourite!! Two pieces for RM3.80.

One more picture since I really loved these sushi so much!!!! I feel so hungry now. Im feeling hungry and crappy, just great!

Asses ordered rice meals. Made Reb finish up her rice meal because if she complains that shes hugry after the meal, mum would definately nag again LOL. Reb's rice was topped with fried oyster and drizzled with sweet sauce if Ive not mistaken. Naomi's rice was topped with Yakiniku! BEEF!!

They are very generous with their sliced beef. Such HUGE pieces makes one grin from ear to ear!

Ah ha! My favourite mix tempura RM10.90!! Really hot and crispy and not one bit oily unlike the one that I made at home. They had mushroom also!!! It was so cripsy on the outside, yet so juicy on the inside. Too bad they only had one mushroom:(

Oh! another sushi I ordered that tasted yummy!!! This is mentaiko something if Ive not mistaken. The green paste is avacado! I didnt know avacado paste would taste so good and creamy! Ahhh, I love my food moist!

Soft shell crabby pancake!! Have to admit that Sushi King does better pancakes but Sushi Zanmai definately has more variety of them!!

Naomi ordered scallops TOO!! Goes bonkers!! The sauce coating it was so perfectly matched with the pure tasting scallops! And it even tasted a bit crunchy at certain edges of it, definately a good snack!

Lastly, baked oyster with cheese. It had those straw looking mushroom inside too!! Reb said that the oyster was too stinky so I just ate the musrooms instead with cheese!

I liked how they rested the oyster shell on a bed of salt. Find it somewhat creative?

Bill came up to approximately RM100, rather reasonable for 3 people feasting till they cant breathe :P

The end for now!! Im getting more sushi soon when Im in KL this Saturday!!! Im going to get the cheesy lobster this time since they didnt had it the other time:S Have a great weekend everyone!

Clinique Who's That Girl Contest

OMG, I cant believe that I procrastinated till today to post this post up LOL. Its just that discouragement to blog by somebody close has finally take effect on me. Made me lazy to updatemy blog. Plus, Im darn lazy to edit pictures or polish up my writing skills:S I just want to watch my Korean dramas, lmao.

Anyway, this is about my favourite skin care product CLINIQUE! I love it tonnes even if purchasing the products would usually leave a super big hole in my pocket and make me survive on bread for a few weeks unless Dan buys me food:( But it is all worth it, I guarantee!

Recently, Clove (The Star newspaper) had this collaboration with Clinique and they organised this "Who's that girl" competition where you can hop in any Clinique counter for a makeover according to any makeup theme that you like and take a picture (close shot and full length) then upload it online. The voting for the finalist will be out tomorrow!!!

Got a few shots of their lovable makeups that I always wanted! Too bad, Im still using those cheap ones since I cant afford Clinique's super light weight yet long lasting ones.

Base (BB Cream) and foundation (Super Balanced Foundation) done. I LOVE the Super Balanced foundation because its so durable and has a good coverage yet you dont feel like a thick layer of foreign yucky chemical substance on your face, you know that kind of feeling where you use other cheap brands:(

Nit and I with our base and foundation done, eye makeup done too- well partially!

I like how the Clinique lady drew the eye liner, and I obviously like the eyeliner so much that I wish I could just buy it on the spot!!

OH MAN! I SO WISH I CAN BUY CLINIQUE' MAKEUP FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

She scribbled done some makeup items that she used on me. Wasnt very thorough, left out important details like my eye liner and eye brow liner which I really am interested in getting. Oh well, at least I can still have a close guess of the product if I were to get it someday.

Did I mention that I totally love Clinique's make up range as much as their skin care line? HAHA

Ra One + Madam Kwan's + Christmas Starbucks Coffee

Just to keep up with some blogging after a long time having the exam fever mode. So these stuffs happen during the exams, didnt had time to actually talk about it till now. Now that I have time Im getting obsessed with korean TV shows so my poor blog have been neglected.

It was my first time watching a Hindi movie. Nit wanted to watch "Ra One" so badly, so I decided to accompany her for the show since she's always there to accompany me to watch the show that I want. Though most of the times, Ive no idea why my selection would either have no good seats or no good showtime.

Initially the plan was to watch Ra One at Midvalley but the cinema caught fire the day before so we had to opt for movie somewhere else. Nearest was Cathay Cineplex Damansara, so there we went. I didnt know that Bollywood movie would be nearly as good as Hollywood movies. But then again, Im still not use to the too much singing and dancing, I feel that it makes the movie rather laggy.

A picture before we headed in for our movie, according to Nit I look like a sick ass HAHAHHA Isnt that why people call it "exam fever"? LOL

Not long after that, med smelly ass came up to KL for her LIMA interview thingy with Guppy and Charmaine. Met up with them at Midvalley, somehow I dont really like that mall. Firstly, searching for parking can take up to an hour. Secondly, I find the shops there blahhh.. I can find better shops elsewhere. Thirdly, Ive to travel back using federal highway, thats just disgusting when it's jam up.

Had lunch together with them at Madam Kwan's. I use to love their Nasi Lemak a lot! Especially when it comes with fried chicken but now it comes with curry chicken. Not that it's not tasty, its just that it would taste even better with fried chicken!!

The last time I dine at Madam Kwan's was with my debater friends back in secondary school. Suddenly, I felt like Im so old already:( Oh! and looking at my sis and her friends venturing off an exciting program reminds me very much of my time back in form 6 where my gang and I participated in the NST- Shell competition.

It took us so much time and effort, it made everyone cranky, but it was nevertheless so much fun! Then I compared my form 6 life to the one that Im currently living, and thought to myself- I thought that uni suppose to be more fun? Oh well.

Check out the cendol at Madam Kwan's! I love it that they have us the liquefied gula melaka! Somehow pouring it and looking at it drizzle makes it taste so so much better:P

Done with that, last week I had really good food!!! On Sunday, I had Japanese meal for dinner and I ordered those deep fried battered mix vege and seafood! My favourite! Got spicy tofu as well! Oh man, it tasted so freaking good even if I was only eating the spicy tofu with rice. Since we ordered too much I packed it home and it became my lunch the next day.

The rice was the leftover I had in the fridge, not the one that I ate from the restaurant.

Im so glad that my favourite Toffee Nut Frap is back for the season!!! I only get to drink that once a year, havet drank it yet this year.. Waiting for smelly asses so we can share the coffee. Yea, its too pricely to indulge in it alone.

So whenever I get Starbucks especially if someone buys it for me I'll feel really elated! Starbucks is a luxury item. Though it was Caramel coffee and not the Christmas ones, I was like secretly chanting "oh thank you, thank you" with every sip I slurp down:)

I thought of taking Korean language class! Would be extremely useful when Im in Korea:) And I'll get a cert too if I can somewhat speak the language by the end of the course! Since now they are having Groupon promo 1 month (RM72) or 1 sem (RM150) why not?

To everyone celebrating Hari Raya,well Selamat Hari Raya!!! Yea, its so nice to have TWO new years! Twice the food and twice the fun!

Finally the Deepavali video is up and rocking! Been really lazy these days with pictures so all the pictures I have would go to temporary storage before I have the time and initiative to edit it before posting it up here. So here are two more videos to watch!

Celebrated Deepavali at my bestie's home! Her parents really treat me well, I feel like crying when I think of her mum's tosai goodness. Thank you aunty, I love you and your daughter tonnes!!

Somehow shooting videos are way easier, than taking pictures and then editing it later. Blah, tedious stuff. And if I post up the wrong picture etc I'll immediately get an outrage text LOL Enjoy our videos while I get ready to battle for exam. She asked us to make a vid on using a shawl to explain a bit of your culture. Was really last minute so we quickly thought of 3 reasons. I prefer the first vid because its very much impromtu unlike the second one that we had to redo because in the first vid, that shawl didnt count as a shawl LOL

Tortura exhibition 2011 + Talipon Steamboat Kuchai Lama

Just to finish up some of my stale pictures before moving on to something more recent and current. Deepavali is around the corner and like all Malaysians, we will have that celebration mood even if its not 'our' festival LOL So Im in the mood for shopping!!! What more my besties is celebrating Deepavali! Its like a double dose of excitement!

But in the same time, my control-freak self keeps pounding in my head and heart the feeling of guilt if I go elsewhere to play while abandoning my revision schedule. Yes, Im that controlling. Skipping one day is a no no unless I wanna suffer with nightmares. Its that horrible.

Anyway, on the lighter note Ive just ended my LAST 8am lecture for the semester!! All economic units have really early lectures. I cant figure out myself why I chose such hard units as my electives when electives are suppose to make life easier for you especially if Im already majoring in two freaking heavy reading subs:(

Road trip! This is one of my favourite picture. I can no longer have that scorpian plait anymore because Ive cut my hair. That will be in another post soon!!

I mentioned in my previous post that I would blog about Tortura Exhibition at Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka. Its has been on going for a few months now and would come to an end by October so don't miss out on this extremely interesting experience!

The exhibition is situated on the 2nd floor, above "Brands Outlet". Adults RM13, Kids lesser. I forgot the exact amount.

Thats the entrance, really cool. Too bad we didnt take many pictures inside because since some of the items displayed are REAL, there might be spirit's attached to it. You know, the ones that got tortured till they die and most probably utter moan tonnes of Mediterranean curses before they let out their last breath.

You will find that most tortures involve inflicting massive harm to the private parts, armpits and what not. There was this torture equipment that is made in a pyramid shape. Prisoners are made to sit on the tip of the pyramid and have baggage of weight hung down on their hands and feet. As the baggage weight increase, more pressure will be felt on their private parts since their vagina/ anus is places right ON the tip. Scary.

Another that I clearly remember is the chastity belt. Its more like an iron underwear rather than a belt though. Wives of the Christian Crusade who often leave home for a long period of time made their wife to wear those belts when they are away to prevent adultery. But they didnt freaking thought about the monthly bleeding we go thru!! How the heck they manage Ive really no idea. Worst still, if the lady is pregnant upon her husband's leaving without either of them knowing, the baby would most probably die being clammed down by the corroded metal steel.

And its not only an underwear ok? This belt was two holes of the obvious reasons. Each holes have sharp edges preventing any 'stuff' from poking in. So its sharp, corroded and and unhygienic!I find that this practice pure sexist!! No one made the guys wear something that clam down their williy!! And how sure are you to say that those guys who leaves home for duty, doesnt performs other "duty" other than duty towards their country?

They even torture women for crying out for help when they are domestically abused or even raped!

Such assholes.

Done with the stale pictures! Here is something more recent!! Nit's virgin visit to Starbucks. Yes, like what the hell right? LOL Her first Strabucks drink was Mocha frap. I had black tea latte instead.

Something more worthwhile to blog about: Talipon Steamboat, Jalan Kuchai Lama!

I always wanted to try out their steamboat because they have grilling ones instead of the normal soupy ones. I LOVE to have grilled yam filled samosa but sadly they didnt had any there. But hey! Look at the array of food choices that they provide!

Noodles, seaweed, eggs etc

Seafood, there were more than 10 varieties

Dessert!! They had ICE- KACANG!!!! omg I nearly flipped when I saw the machine LOL I shaved ice myself and changed the ice block myself too! They have jelly, ice- cream, herbal pudding and fruits.

Lots of sauces! So glad they provide us with lime, made the chicken taste better. I loved the "satay chicken" which tasted really like satay chicken LOL

Let the grilling begin!! Chicken and lamb got the ball rolling!

Lovely fries! Unlike the ones in Seoul Garden that were burned. Also, there were rice and century eggs!! Century eggs are expensive you know! Yet they keep topping up the platter once they see it finishing. I was delighted by their generosity.

2 hours later.. the event that unfolded in any buffet BBQ,

overfed.

HAHAHHA, we both felt like puking after dinner because of too much grilling, noodles and tonnes of other food that we dumped into our stomach. It was so much fun!!! Wish I can do it again, hehe.

After dinner, watched "The Cat" at GSC One Utama. Guess what! GSC charged us RM10 for a hall that has NO AIRCON!!! It was so stuffy in the hall:(

Didnt watch any of the scary parts because I had to drive home alone after dropping Nit off. I know, it defeats the purpose of actually watching a scary movie! UGH!!! Soon, I'll be watching Paranormal Activity 3 and Im thinking of asking Dan to ferry me home lol.

Road trip to Super GP Cafe, USJ

Im trying to stay current in my blog post so even if this is stale, it is less stale then the one that I posted yesterday LOL So smelly asses and I had a road trip again! Stopped at their favourite Pagoh stop. I like the R&R at Pagoh because they have really clean toilets if compared to other R&Rs.

On the way to KL, we dropped by Melaka for the Tortura Exhibition. We're fans of exhibitions and so is my mum hence it's easy to convince her that we wanna go for these kind of activities.

Tortura exhibition at Dataran Pahlawan displays a array of torture tecniques used in back in those uncivilised days. Actually some of them are still being used till now. Entrance fee was RM10 for adults if Ive not mistaken but the guy there only charge 4 of us for the price of 3:)

Naomi has the other pictures and Im lazy to wait for her to pass it to me so just make do with this entrance picture. Might do a full blog entry once she hand me the pictures.

For those who are interested, you guys still have a chance at it before the end of October!

Currently, my interest is squeezing the most I can from my $$$. And so Im greatly delighted by all those online coupons!! I visit those sites on a daily basis, still cant win Facebook's surfing frequency or my stalking frequency but still its very frequent. LOL Im blaberring.

So this time when the smelly asses were up, we went to Super GP Cafe, USJ for a scrumptious cheapshit meal! Fyi, the cafe has a CAR RACING THEME!! Too bad didnt had the chance to take pictures with the cars below because a bunch of old-yet-wanna-act-young ladies were having a birthday bash downstairs that day.

Got the RM15 coupon for a burger set, milkshake and salad! Mum's RM20 coupon got her fried wanton, pan fried fish, dessert and a glass of wine. Seriously worth it!

But first of all,a personal shot. Look at whats written on my tshirt: I love you, smurfs! hehe. Bought it at Dataran Pahlawan for only RM15! The new polkadot shorts Im wearing is also from the same shop at the same price!! *goes bonkers*

Okay, so smelly asses and I got our milkshakes. Reb had the Oreo milkshake,

Naomi had her all time favourite Strawberry milkshake,

...and I ordered Choco fudge milkshake. I thought that mine tasted the best HAHA! I wouldnt usually order chocolate-y stuffs but I suppose I was adventurous that night:P

Then came our salad! Mine was Caesar salad,

Reb had Chicken salad, mum prefered Reb's to ours. Ours had lots of cheese sprinkles on top but Reb's one had some BBQ sauce on her chicken.

Mum didnt had salad, but her appetizer was more yummy! Fried wanton!! I love unhealthy food HAHAHHA

After our appetizers, we were half full. Wondered how they actually have a proper 3 course meal without feeling bloated and overfed?

Mum's main dish, Pan Fried Fish. It smelt so fishy though, good thing they had sauces that could hide the smell well. Anyway mum polished up the whole plate:)

She kept emphasizing that fish is good for health LOL

My main course, Chicken and mushroom burger! I realised that this time the amount of herbs that they use on the chicken patties were just nice unlike the other time I was there with Nit. That time, the coleslaw was so horrible because it had this thick bitter taste of raw onions. This time, it was okay.

I forgot what Naomi had but it came with onion rings!!! OH MY GOSH I loved the onion rings like mad because it was so crunchy good especially when eaten with that bloop of special secret sauce.

Mid Sem Break with Joyce!

Im so awfully piss off again! This has been the upteen times since I got piss in this entire month!! I just hate it when people keep postponing lunch/dinner meetings and worst still at last cancelled!

Im still fine with waiting even if I would be filled with annoyance, but making me wait for so long skipping dont know how many meals and at last say you're going off to Teluk Intan ignoring my empty gastric attacked stomach?!!!! GOSH IM PISS SO BAD!

Okay, done with that emotional outburst.. here's a very stale post LOL Im so sorry for ignoring my blog but then ever since "Running Man" show came into my life, my routine has been reading book then watching running man then sleep. No time nor interest to blog at all.

But hey! better late than never yes? Actually I was deciding to just delete the pictures Ive uploaded like donkey years ago, but since Im utterly piss with Dan now, I might as well blog to blow some steam off.

Gosh! Being angry can shorten my life by half you know? GRR..

So Nit and I found our favourite bubble tea store! Chatime serves the best pearls in the entire Malaysia! Such texture to the tiny yummy balls that make your drink so good since you have something chewy while slurping down your yummy tea.

We tried Hazelnut choco drink, RM6.90. It tasted like ovaltine:) Nit loves it, take it from a choco lover.

I, on the other hand still prefer tea so I'd recommend the "English Milk Tea", so yummy! I love the milky sensation to my tea!

Oh! Another thing, I did pedicure for the first time ever!! Yes, for my 21 years of life I've severely deprived my miserable feet. Its no wonder they keep giving me so much problem since I was small. Bought a coupon online, I forgot which site since I purchased so many deals :P

Her Nail Story, SS7/26 Kelana Jaya.

My pedicure with callus removal and whitening treatment cost only RM28!! What a steal yes? However, I felt that the pedicurist wasnt giving me 100% of what I bought. I bought the deal because I was extremely attacted to the whitening part since my feet got sunburned in Penang.

Unless the scrub that she used on my feet was for whitening, it means I was partially conned!

A picture of my feet before, I always had this problem of ingrown nails since young:( No matter how precise I cut my toe nails, it always pokes into my flesh not long after. Sometimes it's so bad till even a slight nudge against my toe would make me curl up into a ball trying to tahan the pain.

And after, I loved the gold nailpolish!!! Gold suits my yellow undertone skin so well that every time I wear gold coloured items, I feel like Cleopatra! LMAO

Im getting a gold earring soon, just in time since I lost an earring while I was washing my face this morning LOL

Then I realised that pedicure can b very addictive because it feels so good when someone else is attending to your poor feet that work its butt off for us everyday. But then again, I cant go for pedicure every wee, I rather spend my money on food or something more beneficial.

Not to say that pedicure is useless, but you get my point?

And since I said that this is a very stale post, Im just going to dump a few pictures of me and what I did when I was back home for my mid sem break about 3 weeks ago:S

Naomi, the medium smelly ass has finally obtained this super cool skill to braid my hair all the way from then top! This is my favourite hairstyle that I always wanted since I was a kid in kindergarden but my mum never knew how to do it. Anyway she made me keep this boy cut hairstyle till I was in secondary school so I never had a chance to braid my hair.

Finally, I cant believe that I achieve so much when I turned 21! How amazing is that! Notice the colours that gently fold in together HAHAHHA Im loving it! Thinking of it and staring at this picture, Im in a dilemma whether to snip off m hair?

Im actually quite bored with my long hairstyle already. Had it for 5 years consecutively. Permed too. So now Im wanting my original hair back, just deciding on the length thats all.

Before going back home, I got a few stuffs from Carrefour's international stuffs expo in Tropicana City Mall. Yes, as guessed I was waiting to meet Dan but he was busy again. Decided to just go shopping, at least it made me feel less miserable.

Girls, we get distracted easily with shopping, so when you see us mad quickly shove us in a clothing shop and ask us to pick whatever we want. I guarantee you that we would be confused of what to feel at that moment and then decide to be happy HHAHAHHA

And for those Korean fans, you can find lots of merchandises form this shop called "Idol ido" in KSL City, JB. You no longer need to make your way to Berjaya Times Square anymore!! The one in KSL City is bigger and more organised!

Stupid hair, time to treat and cut. Talking about that.. Nit and I just bought a RM18 hair treatment coupon from Streetdeal.com!

Had apple pie which tasted like chinese new year's pineapple tarts. I meant it in a good way lol.

She had mushroom soup which was fairly good. I love everything that has a thick taste of milk.

Second go, Joyce-y started to question my ability to finish it since we ate quite a heavy dinner and had the first go already. I assured her Im fine with the second go LOL

Im less mad now compared to just now when I started to blog. I was so piss that I just ended my phone conversation with him abruptly because I felt like exploding each second he ignores my hungry stomach. YES FOOD IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO ME so dont mess around when it comes to feeding me:S

Waited for smelly asses to come by and had the THIRD serving or Tutti Frutti!!!! This time with gummy bears because Reb wants it. Lots of choc sauce too.
